7:04 p.m. Senator Merkley wrapped up for the evening. Nominations and items agreed to to come. He locked in the schedule for Thursday, convening at 11:00 a.m. with votes at 11:30 a.m. on Lisa Wang to be a Judge of the United States Court of International Trade and Joseph Laroski to be a Judge of the United States Court of International Trade, with a confirmation vote on the Wang nomination at 1:45 p.m.

6:43 p.m. Senator King spoke on the situation in Ukraine.

6:22 p.m. Senator Merkley spoke about Gaza.

6:20 p.m. By a vote of 50-49, the Senate confirmed Joseph Goffman to be an Assistant Administrator of the EPA

  • Senator Barrasso did not vote
  • Senator Manchin voted against

5:22 p.m. The Senate began voting on confirmation of the Goffman nomination.

5:17 p.m. Senator Carper spoke in favor of the Goffman nomination.

5:03 p.m. Senator Capito spoke against the Goffman nomination.

4:12 p.m. Senators Ricketts, Ernst, Fischer, Budd and Capito spoke on the attack on Israel, and attacks from Iranian proxies.

4:10 p.m. By a vote of 50-49, the #Senate invoked cloture on the nomination of Joseph Goffman to be an Assistant Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency. Senator Manchin voted No. Senator Barrasso did not vote.

2:57 p.m. By a vote of 50-49, the Senate confirmed the nomination of Karoline Mehalchick to be a United States District Judge for the Middle District of Pennsylvania. Senator Manchin voted no. Senator Barrasso did not vote.

2:15 p.m. The Senate returned from recess and began voting on confirmation of the Mehalchick nomination.

1:28 p.m. The Senate stands in recess untill 2:15 p.m.

1:28 p.m. By a vote of 50-49, the Senate invoked cloture on Karoline Mehalchick to be a United States District Judge for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.

12:29 p.m. The Senate began a roll call vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the nomination of Karoline Mehalchick to be a United States District Judge for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.

12:28 p.m. By a vote of 54-45, the Senate confirmed the nomination of Kirk E. Sherriff to be United States District Judge for the Eastern District of California. Senator Barrasso did not vote. Senators Collins, Graham, and Murkowski voted in favor.

11:30 a.m. The Senate began a roll call vote on confirmation of Kirk E. Sherriff to be United States District Judge for the Eastern District of California.

11:25 a.m. Senator Casey spoke in support of the Mehalchick nomination.

11:06 a.m. Senator Schmitt spoke on the Kansas City National Security Campus.

10:55 a.m. Senator Thune spoke about Iran.

10:22 a.m. Republican Leader McConnell spoke on Burma and on price fixing and prescription drugs.

10:10 a.m. Majority Leader Schumer spoke on the national security supplemental, on the amicus brief urging the Supreme Court to reverse the ruling restricting access to Mifepristone.

10:00 a.m. The Senate convened.

The Senate will convene at 10:00 a.m. and following any leader remarks, will resume consideration of the nomination of Karoline Mehalchick to be a District Judge for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.

At 11:30 a.m. the Senate will proceed to two votes:
1. Confirmation of Executive Calendar #471 Kirk Sherriff to be a District Judge for the Eastern District of California.
2. Cloture on Executive Calendar #311 Karoline Mehalchick to be a District Judge for the Middle District of Pennsylvania

Following the vote series the Senate will recess to accommodate the caucus luncheons until 2:15 p.m.

At 2:15 p.m. the Senate will proceed to two votes:
1. Confirmation of the Mehalchick nomination.
2.Cloture on Executive Calendar #142 Joseph Goffman to be an Assistant Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency.

At 5:30 p.m. the Senate will proceed to one vote:
1. Confirmation of the Goffman nomination.
