Unless agreement is reached, the Senate will vote at 11:00 a.m. on the motion to invoke cloture on John Ratcliffe, to be Director of the Central Intelligence Agency. If cloture is invoked on the Ratcliffe nomination, there will be two hours of debate. Following the use of time or by yielding back, the Senate will vote on confirmation of the Ratcliffe nomination. Following the Ratcliffe confirmation vote, the Senate will vote on the motion to involve cloture on the nomination of Peter Hegseth, to be Secretary of Defense.
Further votes are possible during Thursdays Session.
As a reminder – if cloture is invoked on the Hegseth nomination, there will be 30 hours of debate before the Senate can vote on confirmation

3:17 p.m. By a vote of 52-47, the Senate did not invoke cloture on the motion to proceed to S. 6, a bill to prohibit a health care provider from failing to exercise proper care in the case of child who survives an attempted abortion.
The vote was party line with Senator Hagerty not voting.

The Senate will convene at 11:00am. Following Leader remarks, the Senate will resume consideration of the motion to proceed to S.6, a bill to amend title 18, United States Code, to prohibit a health care practitioner from failing to exercise the proper degree of care in the case of a child who survives an abortion or attempted abortion.
At 2:30pm, the Senate will proceed to a roll call vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the motion to proceed to S.6.
