12:05 p.m. The Senate began a roll call vote on confirmation of the nomination of Joshua David Jacobs to be Under Secretary for Benefits of the Department of Veterans Affairs.

The Senate will convene at 10:00 a.m. Following Leader remarks, the Senate will resume consideration of the nomination of Joshua David Jacobs to be Under Secretary for Benefits of the Department of Veterans Affairs.

At approximately 12:00pm, the Senate will proceed to a roll call vote on confirmation of the Jacobs nomination.

Following the Jacobs vote, the Senate will recess until 2:15pm to allow for the weekly caucus luncheons.

At approximately 2:15pm, the Senate will proceed to a roll call vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the motion to proceed to S.326, {legislative vehicle for the Veterans package}.

If cloture is invoked on the motion to proceed to S.326, notwithstanding Rule 22, the Committee on Environment and Public Works be discharged from further consideration of S.J.Res.11, a joint resolution providing for congressional disapproval under chapter 8 of title 5, United States Code, of the rule submitted by the Environmental Protection Agency relating to “Control of Air Pollution From New Motor Vehicles: Heavy-Duty Engine and Vehicle Standards”. It will be in order for Senator Fischer to make a motion to proceed to S.J.Res.11.
