Following Leader remarks, the Senate will proceed to Executive Session and resume consideration of Executive Calendar #649 Kevin Gafford Ritz, of Tennessee, to be United States Circuit Judge for the Sixth Circuit.
At approximately 2:15pm, the Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #780 Mary Kay Lanthier, of Vermont, to be United States District Judge for the District of Vermont.
If cloture is invoked, at approximately 5:00pm, the Senate will vote on confirmation of the Lanthier nomination. Following disposition of the nomination, the Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #781 Laura Margarete Provinzino, of Minnesota, to be United States District Judge for the District of Minnesota.
During Tuesday’s session, Senator Schumer filed cloture on Executive Calendar #649 Kevin Gafford Ritz, of Tennessee, to be United States Circuit Judge for the Sixth Circuit. The cloture vote is expected during Thursday’s session.

He then asked for unanimous consent for the Senate for the Senate to agree S. Res. 807, To Constitute the Majority Party’s Membership on Certain Committees where the 118th Congress or Until Their Successors are Chosen.
3:20 p.m. By a vote of 51-43, the Senate confirmed the nomination of Jeannette A. Vargas to be US District Judge for the Southern District of New York.
2:15 p.m. The Senate is now voting on the confirmation of Jeannette A. Vargas to be United States District Judge for the Southern District of New York.

Following the vote the Senate will recess until 2:15 p.m. to allow for the weekly caucus lunches.
At 2:15 p.m., if cloture is invoked, the Senate will vote on confirmation of the the Vargas nomination.
