At 2:30 p.m. the Senate will proceed to Legislative session and will proceed to a roll call vote on the Motion to Proceed to H.J.Res. 45, Cassidy Student Loan Waiver CRA.

If the Motion to Proceed is agreed to, the vote on final passage of H.J.Res. 45 will be at a time to be determined with consultation with the Republican Leader on Thursday June 1st 2023.

6:46 p.m. By a vote of 59-31, the Senate confirmed Darrel James Papillion to be United States District Judge for the Eastern District of Louisiana.

3:41 p.m. Senator Durbin spoke about Judicial Nominations and the Supreme Court.

3:15 p.m. Republican Leader McConnell spoke about the Bipartisan Debt Limit Agreement and paid tribute to Sheriff Deputy Caleb Conley.

3:07 p.m. Majority Leader Schumer spoke about the Bipartisan Debt Limit Agreement and Judicial Nominations.
