5:30 p.m. The Senate is currently voting on cloture on of the nomination of Ronald Keohane to be an Assistant Secretary of Defense. Cloture was agreed to by a roll call vote of 65 – 29. There are no further roll call votes in the Senate today.

3:23 p.m. S. 3853, A bill to extend the period for filing claims under the Radiation Exposure Compensation Act and to provide for compensation under such Act for claims relating to Manhattan Project waste, and to improve compensation for workers involved in uranium mining, was placed on the calendar under Rule 14.

The Senate will convene at 3:00 p.m. and following any Leader remarks will resume consideration of the nomination of Ronald Keohane to be an Assistant Secretary of Defense.
At approximately 5:30 p.m. the Senate will vote on cloture on the Keohane nomination.

Unanimous consent agreement: At a time to be determined no later than Friday, March 8 the Senate will proceed to the consideration of S.3853, Radiation Exposure Compensation Reauthorization Act with up to one hour for debate, after which the Senate vote on passage of the bill with 60-affirmative votes required for passage.
