2:15 p.m. The Senate returned from recess.

12:30 p.m. The Senate recessed until 2:15 p.m.

11:40 a.m. Senator Tuberville spoke on presidential tariffs.

11:27 a.m. Senator Cornyn spoke about border security in Texas.

11:10 a.m. Senator Grassley spoke on the nomination of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to be Secretary of Health and Human Services.

10:52 a.m. Senator Durbin spoke on the government budget. He then spoke about the January 6, 2021 attack on the Capitol and the nomination of Kash Patel to be the Director of the FBI.

10:40 a.m. Senator Barrasso spoke about the possibility of a government shutdown.

10:28 a.m. Democrat Leader Schumer spoke about the Trump administration, government funding, and the nominations of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Tulsi Gabbard.

10:17 a.m. Majority Leader Thune spoke in support of the nomination of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to be Secretary of Health and Human Services.

10:03 a.m. Senator Grassley spoke in support of the nomination of Tulsi Gabbard to be Director of National Intelligence.

The Senate will convene at 10:00 a.m. Following Leader remarks, the Senate will resume consideration of the nomination of Tulsi Gabbard to be Director of National Intelligence, post cloture.

The Senate will recess from 12:30 p.m. until 2:15 p.m. to allow for the weekly caucus luncheons.

At approximately 12:30 a.m., absent a time agreement and if all time is used, the Senate will proceed to two roll call votes relative to the following:

1) Confirmation of the nomination of Tulsi Gabbard to be Director of National Intelligence.

2)  Motion to invoke cloture on the nomination Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., to be Secretary of Health and Human Services.
