9:45 p.m. The Senate stands adjourned for a pro forma session only with no business conducted on Friday, April 26, 2024 at 10:00am.

When the Senate adjourns on April 26 it will next convene at 3:00pm on Tuesday, April 30, 2024.

Following Leader remarks, the Senate will proceed to Executive Session for the consideration of Executive Calendar #598, Georgia N. Alexakis, of Illinois, to be United States District Judge for the Northern District of Illinois.

At approximately 5:30pm the Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the Alexakis nomination.

During Tuesday’s Session cloture was also filed on the motion to proceed to Cal. #211, H.R.3935, An act to amend title 49, United States Code, to reauthorize and improve the Federal Aviation Administration and other civil aviation programs, and for other purposes.

9:00 p.m. The Senate is currently voting on final passage of the Motion to Concur in the House Amendment to the Senate amendment to H.R.815, the Supplemental Appropriations Act. It was passed by a roll call vote of 79-18. Senators voting no: Barrasso, Blackburn, Braun, Budd, Cruz, Hagerty, Hawley, Johnson, Lee, Lummis, Marshall, Merkley, Rubio, Sanders, Schmitt, Scott (FL), Vance, and Welch. Senators Paul, Scott (SC), and Tuberville did not vote.

8:18 p.m. The Senate began a roll call vote on the motion to waive the Budget Act with respect to the Lee Budget Point of Order (regarding Emergency Designation) to H.R.815, the National Security Supplemental. (60-vote affirmative threshold) The vote was agreed to by vote of 75-20.

8:18 p.m. Senator Lee spoke on the supplemental and raised a budget point of order. Senator Murray made a motion to waive the Budget Act.

8:16 p.m. Senator Murray spoke on the supplemental.

7:43 p.m. Senator Sanders spoke on the supplemental.

The Senate will convene at 10:00 a.m. and following any leader remarks will resume consideration of the motion to proceed to H.R.3935 to reauthorize the Federal Aviation Administration.

We expect the Majority Leader to request that the Chair lay the message accompanying H.R.815, Supplemental Appropriations, before the Senate. Then he is expected to fill the amendment tree and file cloture with respect to the message. The cloture motion will ripen upon disposition of a Lee or designee motion to table a pending amendment if such motion is made, or at 1:00 p.m. .
Thus we expect two votes beginning at 1:00 p.m.:

1. Lee or designee motion to table an amendment on the amendment tree.
2. Cloture on the motion to concur in the House amendment to the Senate amendment to H.R.815, Supplemental Appropriations 

Additional roll call votes are possible during today’s session.
