6:25 p.m. By a vote of 50-39, the Senate invoked cloture on the nomination of Katherine E. Oler to be an Associate Judge of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia for the term of fifteen years. Senators voting in favor: Collins, Graham, Murkowski, and Tillis. Senators not voting: Cotton, Cramer, Durbin, Fetterman, Hoeven, Lujan, Lummis, Menendez, Merkley, Risch, and Sinema.

5:31 p.m. The Senate began a roll call vote on Katherine Oler to be an Associate Judge of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia for the term of fifteen years.

5:21 p.m. Senator Wyden spoke in support of the Kasubhai nomination.

5:13 p.m. Majority Leader Schumer filed cloture on Executive Calendar #597 Nancy L. Maldonado to be United States Circuit Judge for the Seventh Circuit.

5:12 p.m. Senator Welch spoke on supplemental disaster funding.

4:53 p.m. Senator Murphy spoke on the school shooting in Uvalde, Texas in 2022 and gun control.

4:29 p.m. Senator Cornyn spoke on border security.

4:03 p.m. Senator Grassley spoke on the 80th Anniversary of D-Day.

3:46 p.m. Senator Blackburn spoke about the 80th Anniversary of D-Day.

3:26 p.m. Republican Leader McConnell spoke on the NDAA and Judicial Nominations.

3:13 p.m. Majority Leader Schumer spoke about reproductive freedom and SCOTUS.

3:11 p.m. S. 4541 was placed on the Calendar under Rule XIV. S. 4554 (reproductive health) received its first reading.

The Senate will convene at 3:00 p.m. and following any Leader remarks will resume consideration of the nomination of Katherine Oler to be an Associate Judge of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia for the term of fifteen years.

At approximately 5:30 p.m., the Senate will vote on cloture on the Oler nomination.

Cloture has also been filed on the nomination of Mustafa Kasubhai to be United States District Judge for the District of Oregon.

Unanimous consent agreements:

  1. At a time to be determined it will be in order for the Chair to lay before the Senate the House message to accompany S.870; The Control Act of 1974 to authorize appropriations for the United States Fire Administration and firefighter assistance grant programs. The Majority Leader or his designee will be recognized to make a motion to concur in the House amendments. There will then be up to 2 hours of debate and upon the use or yielding back of that time, the Senate will proceed to a vote on the motion to concur in the House amendments (passage) without further intervening action or debate
  2. At a time to be determined, the Senate will vote on confirmation of the nomination of Stephanie Sullivan to be Representative of the United States of America to the African Union, with the rank and status of Ambassador.
