6:46 p.m. The Senate has adjourned until 10:00 a.m. Tuesday July 26th 2022. Following Leader Remarks, the Senate will resume consideration of the House message to accompany S. 3373 (PACT ACT).

-At approximately 11:00 a.m. the Senate is expected to proceed to a roll call vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the motion to concur in the House amendment, to the Senate amendment, to H.R.4346 (CHIPS-Plus) with further amendment (S.A. 5135).

-The Senate will then recess from 12:30 p.m. to 2:15 p.m. to allow for weekly caucus lunches

-Additional votes during Tuesdays session are possible but not yet scheduled

5:54 p.m. Senator Portman spoke about Ukraine.

5:29 p.m. Senator Lee spoke about the US Military.

5:16 p.m. Senator Tuberville spoke about inflation.

5:05 p.m. Senator Brown spoke about CHIPS.

5:03 p.m. ML Schumer asked for unanimous consent for the Senate to proceed to immediate consideration of H.R.3359 – Homicide Victims’ Families’ Rights Act of 2021. There was no objection.

5:01 p.m. ML Schumer spoke on the floor on the CHIPS act and the PACT act. He then filed cloture on the motion to concur in the House amendment to S. 3373, PACT Act.

4:33 p.m. Senator Sanders spoke against the CHIPS legislation.

4:21 p.m. Senator Cornyn spoke about CHIPS legislation.

4:43 p.m. Senator Durbin spoke about January 6th and abortion.

3:32 p.m. RL McConnell spoke about inflation, spending and Burma.

3:18 p.m. ML Schumer spoke about the CHIPS bill and healthcare reform

3:00 p.m. The Senate convened.

The Senate will convene at 3:00 p.m., and following any Leader remarks, will resume consideration of the Message accompanying S.3373, the legislative vehicle for the Honoring Our PACT Act. Majority Leader Schumer moved to concur in the House amendment to the bill and filled the amendment tree.

At approximately 5:30 p.m., the Senate will resume consideration of the Message accompanying H.R.4346 and vote on cloture on Schumer substitute amendment #5135 (re: CHIPS+).
