6:35 p.m. The Senate stands adjourned and will next convene at 10:00am on Tuesday, December 10th. Following Leader remarks, the Senate will proceed to Executive Session and resume consideration of the nomination of Lauren McGarity McFerran to be a Member of the National Labor Relations Board for the term of five years expiring December 16, 2029.

At 11:30am – one vote:

1. Confirmation of the nomination of Keli Marie Neary to be United States District Judge for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.

Following the confirmation vote, the Senate will recess until 2:15pm to allow for weekly caucus lunches.

Additional votes are expected during Tuesday’s session.

6:27 p.m. Senator Cramer spoke on North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum to be the nominee for the Secretary of the Interior and Chair of the National Energy Council.

6:23 p.m. Majority Leader Schumer began wrap-up and filed cloture on the following nominations:

  • Executive Calendar #783 Lauren McGarity McFerran to be a Member of the National Labor Relations Board for the term of five years expiring December 16, 2029.
  • Executive Calendar #784 Joshua L. Ditelberg to be a Member of the National Labor Relations Board for the term of five years expiring December 16, 2027.

6:23 p.m. By a vote of 48 to 44, the Senate confirmed the nomination of Tiffany Rene Johnson to be United States District Judge for the Northern District of Georgia. Senators Cassidy, Fetterman, Lujan, Moran, Risch, Rubio, Sinema, and Vance did not vote.

5:22 p.m. The Senate began voting on confirmation of the Johnson nomination.

5:18 p.m. Vice President Harris swore in Senators Kim, Ricketts and Schiff.

4:27 p.m. Senators Booker, Klobuchar, Warner, Romney, Bennet, Brown and King paid tribute to Senator Tester.

4:00 p.m. Senator Tester gave his farewell address.

3:42 p.m. Senator Durbin spike on DACA.

3:32 p.m. Republican Leader McConnell spoke on U.S. foreign and national security policy.

3:14 p.m. Majority Leader Schumer spoke on the imminent swearing in of Senators Schiff and Kim and about departing Senator Tester.

3:06 p.m. The Senate convened.

The Senate will convene at 3:00 p.m. and following any Leader remarks will resume consideration of the nomination of Tiffany Johnson to be United States District Judge for the Northern District of Georgia.

At approximately 5:30 p.m., the Senate will vote on confirmation of the Johnson nomination. Additional votes are possible.

At times to be determined the Senate will vote on confirmation of the following nominations:
1. Cynthia Dixon to be District Judge for the Central District of California.
2. Noel Wise to be District Judge for the Northern District of California.
3. Keli Neary to be United States District Judge for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.
