Following the vote on the Gallagher nomination, the Senate will recess until 2:15 p.m. for weekly caucus lunches. At 2:15 p.m. the Senate will resume consideration of S. 316, a bill to repeal the authorizations for use of military force against Iraq.

6:28 p.m. Majority Leader Schumer called up amendment #15 to S. 316 and then began wrap-up:
- S. Res. 116 Supporting the goals and ideals of deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism awareness month, as amended, was adopted by unanimous consent.
- S. 30 Fiscal Year 2023 Veterans Affairs Major Medical Facility Authorization Act, was agreed to by unanimous consent.
6:27 p.m. By a vote of 67-28, the Senate agreed to the motion to proceed to S. 316, to repeal the authorization for use of military force against Iraq. Senator voting against: Blackburn, Boozman, Britt, Capito, Cornyn, Cotton, Crapo, Cruz, Ernst, Fischer, Graham, Hagerty, Hyde-Smith, Kennedy, Lankford, Mullin, Ricketts, Risch, Romney, Rounds, Rubio, Scott (FL), Scott (SC), Sullivan, Thune, Tillis, Tuberville, and Wicker. Senators not voting: Barrasso, Durbin, Feinstein, Fetterman, and McConnell.
5:35 p.m. The Senate began a roll call vote on the motion to proceed to S. 316, to repeal the authorization for use of military force against Iraq.
