7:21 p.m. The Senate invoked cloture on the Prabhakar nomination, 58-38. Republicans voting in favor: Blunt, Burr, Cassidy, Collins, Lummis, Moran, Murkowski, Portman, Rounds & Tillis. Democrat voting against: Manchin. Not voting: Baldwin, Crapo & Risch.

6:40 p.m. The Senate began voting on cloture on the nomination of Arati Prabhakar to be Director of the Office of Science and Technology Policy.

6:39 p.m. The Senate invoked cloture on the Bennett nomination, 60-37. Republicans voting in favor: Barrasso, Blackburn, Blunt, Burr, Collins, Cornyn, Graham, Portman, Romney, Rounds & Young. Not voting: Baldwin, Crapo & Risch.

5:50 p.m. The Senate is now voting on the motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #1055 Amanda Bennett to be Chief Executive Officer of the United States Agency for Global Media.

3:21 p.m. By a vote of 96-0 the senate adopted the Sullivan amendment #5518, as modified.

2:32 p.m. The Senate began a roll call vote on adoption of Sullivan amendment #5518, as modified, to the Resolution of Advice and Consent to Ratification for Amendment to Montreal Protocol (“Kigali Amendment”).

11:51 a.m. Senator Schumer announced that all post cloture time on the Amendment to Montreal Protocol (Kigali amendment) will expire at 2:30 p.m. and the Senate proceed to vote on the Sullivan amendment #5518. Following disposition of that amendment the Senate will vote on adoption of ratification of the Amendment to Montreal Protocol (Kigali Amendment). Following those votes the Senate will resume consideration of Amanda Bennet to be CEO of the US Agency for Global Media. At 5:30 there will be two votes:

  • Arati Prabhakar to be Director of the Office of Science and Technology Policy.
