7:16 p.m. Senator Cassidy achieved passage of several bills naming post offices by unanimous consent en bloc.

7:15 p.m. The Senate invoked cloture on the Pennell nomination on a party line vote of 50-42. Senators not voting: Braun, Cramer, Cruz, Hagerty, Manchin, Rubio, Vance and Wicker.

6:19 p.m. The Senate began a cloture vote on the nomination of Rebecca Pennell to be a district judge for eastern Washington.

6:18 p.m. The Senate confirmed the Russell nomination, 50-44. Independent voting against: Manchin. Not voting: Braun, Cramer, Cruz, Hagerty, Rubio and Vance.

5:25 p.m. The Senate began a roll call vote on confirmation of Sarah French Russell to be a United States District Judge for the District of Connecticut.

5:14 p.m. Senator Murray spoke in support of the Russell nomination.

4:15 p.m. By a vote of 50-45, the Senate invoked cloture on the nomination of Sarah French Russell to be a United States District Judge for the District of Connecticut. Senators not voting: Braun, Cramer, Cruz, Hagerty, and Rubio.

3:15 p.m. The Senate began a roll call vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the nomination of Sarah French Russell to be a United States District Judge for the District of Connecticut.

3:14 p.m. By a vote of 51-44, the Senate confirmed Mustafa Taher Kasubhai to be a United States District Judge for Oregon. Senators not voting: Braun, Cramer, Cruz, Hagerty, and Rubio.

2:17 p.m. The Senate is now voting on the confirmation of Mustafa Kasubhai to be a District Judge for Oregon.

2:15 p.m. Senator Wyden is speaking in support of the Kasubhai nomination.

1:03 p.m. By a vote of 51-43, the Senate invoked cloture on the nomination of Mustafa Taher Kasubhai to be United District Judge for the District of Oregon. Senators Braun, Cramer, Cruz, Hagerty, Rubio and Vance did not vote.

12:04 p.m. The Senate is now voting on the motion to invoke cloture on the nomination of Mustafa Kasubhai to be a District Judge for Oregon.

12:03 p.m. By a vote of 41-26, the Senate agreed to the motion to instruct the Sergeant at Arms to request the presence of absent Senators.

The Senate will convene at 10:00 a.m. and following leader remarks will resume consideration of the nomination of Mustafa Kasubhai to be a District Judge for Oregon.

At 11:30 a.m. the Senate will vote on cloture on the Kasubhai nomination.

Following the vote the Senate will recess until 2:15 p.m. to accommodate the weekly caucus luncheons.

At 2:15 p.m. the Senate will proceed to two votes:
1. Confirmation of the Kasubhai nomination.
2. Cloture on the nomination of Sarah Russell to be a District Judge for Connecticut.
