The Senate is in adjournment for the out-of-town retreat.

The Senate will convene at 10 a.m. Friday, January 27, for a pro forma session. No business will be transacted.

The Senate will next convene for regular business at 3 p.m. on Monday, January 30.

At 5 p.m. Monday, the Senate will resume consideration of the nomination of Rex Tillerson to be Secretary of State.

At 5:30 p.m.,  the Senate will vote on cloture for the Tillerson nomination. If cloture is invoked, there will be 30 hours of post-cloture debate before a confirmation vote.

At about 12:20 p.m. on Tuesday, a confirmation vote is expected on the nomination of Elaine L. Chao to be Transportation Secretary.
