7:09 p.m. The Senate stands adjourned and will reconvene tomorrow Thursday December 7th 2023 at 10:00 a.m. Following leader remarks, the Senate will resume consideration of H.R. 815 (Legislative vehicle for supplemental).

If Senator Paul makes a motion to discharge S.J.Res. 51, A joint resolution directing the removal of United States Armed Forces from hostilities in Syria that have not been authorized by Congress, The Senate will vote on the motion at 11:30 a.m.

Following the vote on the resolution Senators should expect a second vote at 11:30am, either on confirmation of Elizabeth H. Richard, to be Coordinator for Counterterrorism, or on the non-debatable motion to proceed to NDAA Conference Report.

At 1:45 p.m. The Senate will vote on the Motion to invoke cloture Richard E.N. Federico, of Kansas, to be United States Circuit Judge for the Tenth Circuit

Senator Marshall asked for unanimous consent for the senate to pass H.R.6126 – Israel Security Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2024. Senators Murray, Reed, Klobuchar, Heinrich, Schatz, Shaheen and Durbin spoke against Senator Marshalls request. Senator Murray objected

5:35 p.m. The Senate did not invoke cloture on the motion to proceed, 49-51. Senator Sanders voted against, and Majority Leader Schumer changed his vote in order to offer a motion to reconsider.
