Following Leader remarks, the Senate will resume consideration of H.R. 4366, the legislative vehicle for MillCon/VA/Agriculture/THUD appropriations.  At approximately 12:15,  the Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the motion to suspend rule XV1 with respect to the Murray substitute amendment #1092.

The Senate will recess from 5:00pm until 6:15 to allow for the All Senators briefing.

4:00 p.m. Senator Brown spoke on the UAW Strike.

3:29 p.m. Senator Paul spoke on the covid vaccine mandate for Senate Pages and asked unanimous consent for the Senate to adopt S. Res. 336, a resolution prohibiting the imposition of vaccination requirements relating to COVID-19 for Senate Pages. Senator Murphy objected.

3:03 p.m. By a vote of 52-45, the Senate confirmed the nomination of Rita F. Lin to be United States District Judge for the Northern District of California. Republicans voting in favor: Senators Collins, Graham, and Murkowski. Senators not voting: Feinstein, Kelly, and Scott (SC).

2:15 p.m. The Senate is now voting on confirmation of the nomination of Rita F. Lin to be United States District Judge for the Northern District of California.

1:16 p.m. By a vote of 52-45, the Senate invoked cloture on the nomination of Rita F. Lin to be United States District Judge for the Northern District of California. Republicans voting in favor: Senators Collins, Graham, and Murkowski. Senators Feinstein, Kelly, and Scott (SC) did not vote.

12:27 p.m. The Senate is now voting on the motion to invoke cloture on the nomination of Rita F. Lin to be United States District Judge for the Northern District of California.

12:26 p.m. By a vote of 53-44, the Senate confirmed the nomination of Vernon D. Oliver to be United States District Judge for the District of Connecticut. Republican senators voting in favor: Senators Collins, Graham, Murkowski, and Tillis. Senators Feinstein, Kelly, and Scott (SC) did not vote.

11:30 a.m. The Senate began a roll call vote on confirmation of the nomination of Vernon D. Oliver to be United States District Judge for the District of Connecticut.

The Senate will convene at 10:00 a.m., following Leader remarks, the Senate will proceed to Executive Session and resume consideration of the nomination of Vernon D. Oliver to be United States District Judge for the District of Connecticut, post-cloture.

At approximately 11:30 a.m., the Senate will proceed to two roll call votes relative to the following:

• Confirmation of the nomination of Vernon D. Oliver to be United States District Judge for the District of Connecticut.
• Motion to invoke cloture on the nomination of Rita F. Lin to be United States District Judge for the Northern District of California.

Following the Lin vote, the Senate will recess until 2:15 p.m. to allow for the weekly caucus luncheons.

At approximately 2:15 p.m., if cloture is invoked, the Senate will proceed to a roll call vote on confirmation of the Lin nomination.
